Linda Dawe Bio
Linda Dawe's career began in 1970 as a journalist for Canada's first music magazine, Beetle Publications. In 1971 she moved on to Columbia/CBS Records Canada as part of the A&R team Carolyn Cowan, Gary Muth and VP John Williams. In 1974 Linda continued her tenure with the major labels as promotion coordinator for MCA/Universal Records Canada with Scott Richards, Randy Sharrard.
In 1976 Ed Preston, president of RCA Records, hired Linda as the first female promotion manager in Canada, reporting to VP Andy Nagy. She hired Chris Allicock handling promotion and publicity for artists such as Bob Marley, Hall & Oates, Elton John. She worked closely with producer & Juno Award winner, Willi Morrison from the UK, the creative developer of THP Orchestra, THOR, Grand Tour albums.

In 1980 she formed Linda Dawe Associates, one of the first to promote artists on independent labels in Canada. Developing a relationship with radio programmers, she "broke" the charts with newcomers Frankie & the Knockouts, Kix, Cruiser, Don McLean's "Crying".
By 1987 LDA morphed into The Music Brokers hiring the team Chris Allicock, Dulce Barbosa, Nancy Mayer promoting Gipsy Kings, Billy Vera, Blue Rodeo, Rita MacNeil, Roch Voisine.

In 1990, with Scott Richards, former president of MCA/Universal and Freedom Records, Linda founded Music Solutions Inc (MSI) promoting Roch Voisine, Emma Shapplin, Helmut Lotti, Andre Gagnon.
With associate Willi Morrison, Linda Dawe secured major international record contracts for Matt Dusk and RyanDan.
Linda Dawe currently manages Christopher Dallo and promotes several independent artists.
