Traditional management contracts provide services contingent upon a percentage (say 20-25%) of the artist's future gross revenue over a fixed term. Although similar in the movie industry to having an agent, who negotiates a deal on behalf of the artist, music management can expand into a variety of services. However, very few managers are willing to spend years without income to develop an unknown artist based on "potential" sales.
As the manager, Linda Dawe has secured multi-million dollar deals with Decca International for Matt Dusk (including Mark Burnett's reality TV series "The Casino" at the Golden Nugget) and with Universal Music (UK) for RyanDan.
