Tribute to Scott Richards
Scott Richards began his music industry career in the 1960's as bassman for David Clayton Thomas and the Shays. After too many nights on the road, he settled down as a studio bass player and was eventually hired by Al Mair at Apex Records (a division of MCA Records) as a promotion rep. He worked his way up as promotion manager and at age 32, became the youngest President of MCA Records Canada, signing rock groups such as Triumph, Trooper.
